How was this initiative born?
SpreadHopeSTL was crafted by the team at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis in light of 2025's Year of Jubilee.
The Year of Jubilee is a longstanding tradition in the Catholic Church, marking a special year dedicated to forgiveness, reconciliation, and renewal. Rooted in the Book of Leviticus, it emphasizes the importance of restoring relationships and fostering a sense of community.
In 2025, Pope Francis has declared a Jubilee Year with the theme "Pilgrims of Hope", inviting everyone to embark on a journey of spiritual renewal and communal solidarity. In light of this declaration, SpreadHopeSTL was born.
