Today I visited with Maria, Ella (St Joseph’s Academy), and Nick and Patrick (St John Vianney High School). I reflected with them on their service with Catholic Charities’ Ministry at Saint Martha’s. These four high school students give me hope because they want to serve their community. Their encounters with our clients are life-changing, not only for the clients but for the students. Christ is present in their encounters, giving me hope for our future. Thank you to Maura for mentoring them. Thank you, St Joseph Academy and Vianney High School, for these great students to be Pilgrims of Hope.
