I was having a really rough day at school and Ellie asked me how my Thanksgiving break was and what I did. When I told her I could tell she was actually listening to what I was saying. Even a small gesture of asking how I was changed my mood instantly. Since then, every time I see her she asks me how my weekend was or asks me for advice for something. Every time I have a conversation with her she makes me feel seen and valued. 🙂
